California VALID ID must be current or issued within the past 5 years. If no ID available, the signer can be identified by the oath of 2 credible witnesses who hold valid ID and know the signer.

ID LIST FOR CALIFORNIA NOTARIES

  • California Drivers license or Non-driver ID

  • Drivers license from other state

  • Canadian or Mexican drivers license

  • U.S.A. Passport or Passport Card

  • Foreign Passport (stamped by U.S.C.I.S.)

  • U.S. Military ID

  • Employee ID issued by CA state, city, or county agency

  • Inmate ID issued by Ca Dept of Corrections Rehabilitation or a Sheriff's Department in in custody

  • Consular ID

  • Tribal ID

    Must be current or issued within the past 5 years

    Must contain photo, physical description, signature and identifying number.
